Empowering Black Families Through Financial Literacy & Community Support
Who We Are
Ujamaa, a Swahili word meaning extended family or brotherhood, reflects our values of solidarity and communal support.
We are a collective of elders and professionals committed to financial education for families, with a focus on American Descendants of Slaves (ADOS) communities. Research shows that greater financial literacy builds stronger savings, healthier families, and more vibrant communities.
